Sankul (संकुल) is an autonomous and independent premises and platform set up in the industry 'Baroda Electric Meters Ltd.', for fresh engineering trainees, interns or undergraduates to acquire missing skills using a hands-on approach. We had drawn inspiration from Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, ex-Vice Chancellor, Gujarat Technological University (GTU), who had set up various Sankuls across the State of Gujarat as a platform to bridge the gap between the industries and the academia and has driven the students to opt for industrial projects in their final year of undergraduate studies.
Recently,the scope of the Sankul has been expanded. It has also become the hub for driving new concepts of national importance such as solar micro-mobility cooperatives. Click here for more details regarding Co-ops.
The three components of Sankul's work culture towards creating equity in the workplace for its employees are (i) Embracing Diversity, (ii) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and (iii) Affirmative Action (AA).
